Recycling Glass: Small Actions, Big Impact

At Brick Glass, recycling isn’t just a process, it’s a commitment that makes a real difference!

Glass is 100% recyclable and can be reused endlessly without losing quality. When glass is recycled instead of landfilled, it avoids sitting in disposal sites for thousands of years. Even better, using recycled glass—known as cullet—requires less energy to manufacture because it melts at a lower temperature than raw materials. Less energy means fewer greenhouse gas emissions and a smaller environmental footprint.

Recycling also reduces the need to mine natural resources like sand, soda ash, and limestone, all of which are required to produce virgin glass. That’s good news for the planet—and for sustainable business practices.

Through Brick Glass’ recycling partner, Sibelco, recycled glass is transformed into 35 different colors of glass used across the industry, as well as container glass, fiberglass, highway beads, glass abrasives, fillers, and specialty glass. What once might have gone to waste now fuels innovation and supports jobs in recycling, processing, and manufacturing. So, by recycling unusable glass panels, Brick Glass not only supports multiple industries but also recovers a portion of our material losses, showing sustainability and smart operations go hand in hand.

At Brick Glass, recycling glass means protecting our planet, strengthening our industry, and giving every piece of glass a second life.
