Annealed Glass

Thermally treated & allowed to slowly cool to relieve internal stress.

Benefits:

Standard, non-tempered float glass
Easily cut, drilled, edged, polished, and custom-shaped

Heat Strengthened

Uses a slower cooling process than tempered glass.

Benefits:

Ideal for Commercial Insulated Glass
High mechanical & thermal strength
3-4 times stronger than annealed

Tempered Glass

Made by subjecting the glass to extreme heat & rapid cooling to strengthen.

Benefits:

Heat-treated glass
Breaks into small pieces
5-7 times stronger than annealed glass

Laminated

Made of 2 pieces of annealed glass & inner vinyl film, fused using a heat process.

Benefits:

Inner layer holds the glass together when broken. (Safer than tempered)

Polycarbonate Sheets

Tough thermoplastic panels 250 times stronger than glass while weighing roughly half as much.

Benefits:

Low flammability
Moldable
Stronger than glass

Plexiglass Sheets

Acrylic lightweight, shatter-resistant thermoplastic alternatives to traditional glass.

Benefits:

Burns slowly
Doesn't yellow
Scratch resistant
Does not shatter
